Pre-Children’s House Program
Ages 18 Months - 3 Years

Program Overview
The Toddler learning environment is designed to be inviting and interesting to the child. The focus of activity is on the student’s learning needs and works/experiences are created, selected, and prepared to support the developmental needs of the children served at this level.

The environment expands beyond the classroom when a portion of the morning work cycle encourages gross motor development with activities outside or in the gymnasium. There are work areas available in all three locations for children to work independently or with others.

The furniture and materials in the Toddler environment were purchased specifically for this age group when the program was established. A low toilet and sink area supports development of bathroom independence as children prepare to enter an early childhood classroom. Complete independence in the bathroom is an entrance requirement for the Children’s House program.

PCH is a 5-day program, with a 4 day option offered only to siblings enrolled in the MSOW SDW 4K program.
