Meet Kim Heyer, Children’s House 2 Classroom Assistant

Kim's first teaching experience after college was at a Montessori school. Kim earned degrees in early child care, early childhood development, and marketing management. She also holds her Montessori Paraprofessional Primary Certification. Kim has been part of MSOW since 2000. She started as the physical education teacher and then became an assistant Montessori teacher in a Children's House classroom in 2001. Since 2011, Kim has been a part of the MSOW administration team. She feels Montessori works with each child as a unique individual. She enjoys seeing children grow emotionally and academically. Kim believes Montessori education helps children in their life-long love of learning and she is glad that she is part of each child's special journey. Kim and her husband have three adult children, who were all Montessori students. Kim's granddaughter is a MSOW lower elementary student.
