Meet Heather Abasovski, Children’s House 4 Lead Teacher

With a bachelor’s degree in educational studies and many years of experience with children, Heather came to MSOW in December of 2019 as an after-school care program coordinator. She accepted a position as a Classroom Assistant in Children’s House 2 in 2020 and worked with Molly Vermiglio, as she began coursework for her Montessori Early Childhood teacher credential at GMEI® Teacher Education Program. Heather looks forward to receiving her certificate in January.

Heather graduated from Alverno College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Educational Studies. She has worked as an applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapist as well as a lead infant teacher. Heather is also the Summer Program Director for MSOW and loves to plan and coordinate fun and engaging activities for children. Heather has been immersed in working with children since she was young.  Her Mother operated an in-home daycare business and Heather grew up with three brothers.  She and her husband are family oriented and love to be outdoors. Heather’s hobbies include crafting, gardening, bike riding, painting rocks. and geocaching.
