Miss Carol.jpg

Carol has been employed by the Montessori School of Waukesha since 1984. She watched the school grow from a small school with a preschool atmosphere to a much larger toddler through eigth grade AMS accredited school. Experience and growth in understanding Montessori philosophy and pedagogy contributes to Carol's success as a lead teacher and as a MSOW community member for over 35 years.

Carol began her career at MSOW as an art enrichment teacher and went on to earn a Montessori credential from St. Nicholas Training Center. Carol completed an additional American Montessori Society early childhood credential in Chicago, Illinois in 2004. Carol has been active in presenting philosophy and lessons at the Montessori Paraprofessional Training Program. She recently earned her associate degree in Early Childhood Education as a means of staying current in today’s world of education. Carol also completed Orton-Gillingham Certification to enhance reading instruction strategies. Additionally, Carol has joined the GMEI(tm) Teacher Education Program as an instructor.

All three of Carol’s children attended MSOW. Her daughter, Molly is currently a Montessori trained teacher at MSOW. Carol’s two grandchildren are presently students here. Carol firmly believes that Montessori education promotes inner-confidence, problem solving, and competency – all related to what Maria Montessori termed as ‘an aid to life.’
