Meet Brenda Zellmer, Head of School

Head of School Brenda Zellmer returned to Montessori School of Waukesha in 2021 as a former MSOW parent, faculty member, and leader in the school community. She served as a Montessori credentialed early childhood lead teacher at MSOW for 18 years. She holds Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licenses in administration and curriculum and instruction, as well as a lifetime teacher’s license.

Brenda earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Alverno College, a master’s degree in business administration from UW-Whitewater, and a bachelor’s degree in communication from UW-Whitewater. She is a Rotary Foundation International Scholarship recipient and studied for a year in Australia at the graduate level.

Brenda is also a math instructor for the MSOW’s Global Montessori Educators Institute and the UW-River Falls Graduate Montessori Teacher Education Program. She is proud to have been a member of the faculty when the school completed the American Montessori Society accreditation process in 2015.

Brenda lives in Waukesha with her husband, and has two adult children who attended MSOW through Upper Elementary and remember it fondly. She also has two active, young grandsons!
